Sima Basel

Clinical Psychologist

Sima Basel

Sima Shabaneh Msc, is dedicated to helping people live freer, more passionate lives. Her practice is centered on holistic healing modalities and trauma theory grounded within Jungian psychology. She finds that a fusion of these approaches with plant medicines creates a deeply personal and unique approach to healing. She describes her work as grounded in a sense of humor, humility, and curiosity for the profundity and oddness of existence.

Sima developed a keen interest in and passion for performance cycling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing. Over time with a more highly acute sense of her own physicality, she began to integrate this into her personal and professional lives. The growth of a sensitive mind/body connection has become a key element in her practice. Sima finds the fluidity and rediscovery of this union to be central to her clients' healing.

Sima received a BA from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, double majoring in Psychology and Anthropology, and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London. She can conduct sessions in either English, Arabic, or Russian.
