Fayina Cohen, LCSW CHT
Psychospiritual Therapist
Fayina Cohen, LCSW, CHT is a psychospiritual therapist and hypnotherapist who incorporates traditional psychodynamic therapy with spiritual and somatic psychology; focusing on healing the body and heart, expanding the mind, and developing the human soul. Fayina believes that within the healing process, it is imperative to not only address one’s history and environmental imprinting; but to also discover the internal treasure of the higher self and soul. This discovery can lead to inner peace, balanced living, enhanced intuition, abundant love, and a deep connection to spirit.
During her work with clients —as well as in her own healing/spiritual journey—Fayina engages in the exploration of the subconscious mind and somatic awareness. Using these practices we access the space where biographical, past life, and collective ancestral history is stored and revealed. Within Fayina’s process, we have the opportunity to process, release, and heal past trauma, examine challenging relationships, and address physical or emotional pain. Fayina specializes in working with victims of physical and sexual abuse, individuals struggling with various anxiety disorders, recurring relationship struggles, and life transitions such as loss, divorce, adoption, and blended family dynamics.
In her work with clients, she incorporates mindfulness practices, guided meditation, hypnosis, breathwork, EMDR, past life regression, and psychedelic integration work. In an environment of safety and compassion, Fayina guides her clients on their personal journey to creating a life of joy, love and fulfillment while honoring each individual client’s unique being and light.
Fayina received her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University in 2001. She then completed a three-year post-graduate training with the Wellness Institute in Seattle, where she trained in Heart-Centered HypnotherapyÆ, Holotropic Breathwork, and Past Life Regression. She recently trained with Fluence in Psychedelic Integration and with PSI Institute in Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy, which utilizes legally prescribed medicines such as ketamine and cannabis for somatic healing and trauma release work.
Fayina is in private practice in Long Island, NY, and is also a director of a Fourth Way group dedicated to studying both Eastern and Western esoteric teachings designed to foster higher states of consciousness that lead to an awakening of the soul.
