There Is a Difference Between Knowing About Mushrooms and Knowing How to Support Someone Who Is Working With Them

A client may come to you curious about microdosing, but what they are carrying rarely fits neatly inside one protocol.

Their experience may be shaped by their nervous system, physical health, relationships, environment, past experiences, cultural background, spiritual life, and the ways they have learned to move through the world.

This is where a holonic approach begins.

The Holonic Practitioner is a professional training created for practitioners who want to understand microdosing through a wider and more integrated lens. The program brings together neuroscience, pharmacology, psychology, functional medicine, somatics, ancestral wisdom, ethics, cultural awareness, integration, and the lived intelligence of the mushrooms.

A Different Kind of Practitioner Training

The Holonic Practitioner was created from the way we work at Mycology Psychology.

Our approach has always lived at the intersection of the clinical and the mystical, the practical and the intuitive, the evidence we can study and the experiences that cannot always be easily measured.

Responsible support requires more than understanding dosage and protocols. It requires humility, curiosity, self-awareness, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to meet each person as an individual.

Throughout the training, you will deepen your understanding of microdosing while also exploring your own relationship with the role of practitioner.

You will learn how to offer structure without becoming rigid, how to provide guidance without creating dependency, and how to honor the intelligence of the mushrooms without losing sight of the complexity of being human.

This Training May Be for You If You Are:

A therapist, coach, functional medicine practitioner, somatic practitioner, healthcare professional, integration specialist, or another professional working within healing, wellness, or personal development.

You may already be receiving questions about microdosing from your clients and want to feel more prepared to respond.

You may already have personal experience with plant medicine and want to strengthen your understanding of pharmacology, nervous system regulation, ethics, consultation, integration, and client support.

Most importantly, you respect the responsibility of this work and want to approach it with care.

What You Will Learn

By the end of the training, you will have a deeper understanding of the science, practice, ethics, and human experience surrounding microdosing.

You will explore how to:

  • Understand the neuroscience and pharmacology of microdosing

  • Think critically about dosage, protocols, and individual needs

  • Lead thoughtful consultations and ask more meaningful questions

  • Recognize the role of the nervous system and physical body

  • Support realistic expectations and meaningful integration

  • Understand the relationship between ceremony, ancestral wisdom, and modern practice

  • Create grounded containers without becoming the authority over another person’s healing

  • Develop your own voice, intuition, and discernment as a practitioner

A Hybrid Learning Experience

Over the course of 12 weeks, you will move through a combination of recorded teachings and weekly 90-minute live calls facilitated by Mycology Psychology CEO Adrian Lozano and Community Director Bia Luna.

Each week, participants will move through recorded modules featuring practitioners, researchers, and educators from across the fields of neuroscience, psychology, pharmacology, functional medicine, somatics, ethics, integration, and plant medicine.

The weekly live calls are where the teachings come into relationship.
Adrian and Bia will guide the cohort through deeper conversation, reflection, integration, and practical application. These calls are an opportunity to ask questions in real time, explore how the material connects to your current work, and learn alongside others who are moving through the same experience.

The recorded modules give you the flexibility to learn in your own time. The weekly calls make the experience personal, connected, and alive.

The Weekly Live Calls May Include:

  • Deeper exploration of the recorded teachings

  • Real-time questions and group conversation

  • Practical examples and case-based learning

  • Reflection on the role and responsibility of the practitioner

  • Integration of the material into your existing work

  • Space to explore what the teachings are bringing up personally and professionally

  • Connection and conversation with the wider cohort

COMMUNITY IS MEDICINE

Community is not separate from the work we do at Mycology Psychology. It is one of the ways the work becomes real.

We believe healing, learning, and integration deepen when they happen in relationship. There is something powerful about being witnessed by people who understand the path you are walking, and in discovering that the questions you carry are often shared by others.

Throughout the 12 weeks, the cohort becomes a place to continue the conversation beyond the teachings. Participants will be able to share reflections, ask questions as they arise, and learn from the different perspectives within the group.

Our hope is that the relationships formed during the training do not end when the 12 weeks are complete. The Holonic Practitioner is an invitation into a growing network of people committed to approaching mushrooms, healing, and human transformation with integrity, curiosity, and reverence.

WHY LEARN WITH
Mycology Psychology?

For the past five years, Mycology Psychology has supported thousands of people as they have explored microdosing with greater intention, education, and care.

Our approach has been shaped through years of listening closely to the people we serve. We have witnessed the questions that arise when someone begins working with mushrooms, the places where rigid protocols fall short, and the importance of having thoughtful support when the medicine begins to reveal something deeper.

This training is rooted in that lived experience.

At Mycology Psychology, we believe the mushrooms are not here to give us all the answers. They invite us into a deeper relationship with ourselves, our bodies, our patterns, and the lives we are creating. The role of the practitioner is not to become the authority over that process, but to help someone listen more closely and move through the journey with greater awareness.

A Growing Community of Practitioners

The Holonic Practitioner has trained more than 75 therapists, coaches, healthcare professionals, functional medicine practitioners, somatic practitioners, integration specialists, and other professionals working within healing and personal development.

Several graduates have continued into the wider Mycology Psychology ecosystem as practitioners and ambassadors, while others have carried the frameworks into their own existing practices.

When you learn with us, you are learning from an organization that has spent years working directly with people navigating the realities of microdosing. You are also joining a growing network of practitioners who want to approach mushrooms with humility, responsibility, curiosity, and reverence.
